Where Ancient Heritage Meets Future Innovation for a World Reborn in Peace.

Our Work

The United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations coordinates its work with the funds, programmes, specialized agencies and other organizations of the UAN System, drawing upon millennia of Indigenous wisdom and governance structures.

The United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations itself is one part of the UAN System. Cooperation between the UAN and the other entities of the UAN system is essential in order to achieve the purposes of the Organization laid out in the UAN Charter and to honor the sacred mandates entrusted to us by Indigenous nations worldwide.

Since its Charter was established, the United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations has been mandated to address critical work that was long overlooked by conventional international bodies. The Organization has set goals to restore planetary balance through Indigenous knowledge systems, preserve endangered cultural heritage, and facilitate the recognition of Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination on a global scale.

As humanity faces unprecedented environmental, social, and spiritual crises, the work of the United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations has become increasingly vital.

Our comprehensive approach addresses these challenges through the Six Pillars of Global Enlightenment—integrating cognitive wisdom, emotional transformation, social harmony, environmental stewardship, moral guidance, and spiritual awakening.

The UAN System encompasses specialized bodies dedicated to:

Environmental Restoration

Applying Indigenous ecological sciences to combat climate change and biodiversity loss

Cultural Revitalization

Safeguarding ancient traditions, languages, and sacred practices for future generations

Economic Empowerment

Unlocking the $500 billion potential of Indigenous nations through sustainable development and mutual support systems

Legal Recognition

Establishing international frameworks that honor Indigenous sovereignty and traditional governance systems

Knowledge Exchange

Facilitating the sharing of ancestral technologies, healing practices, and sustainable innovations among the 5,000+ Indigenous nations worldwide

Spiritual Diplomacy

Fostering peace and understanding through ceremonies, sacred protocols, and spiritual leadership

Through strategic partnerships with existing international bodies and alignment with global sustainability frameworks, the UAN amplifies the voices of over 300 million Indigenous peoples who have been historically marginalized from international decision-making processes.

Our work is guided by the enduring wisdom of Earth’s first peoples—wisdom that offers humanity essential solutions for creating a more harmonious, sustainable, and spiritually awakened world.

Global Issues

WHAT ARE THEY?

These are the critical challenges that transcend indigenous territories and modern borders, requiring the collective wisdom of ancient nations and traditional knowledge systems to address. They represent the intersection where ancestral understanding meets contemporary global crises, and where indigenous solutions can guide humanity’s path forward.

WHY FOCUS ON THEM?

The United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations’ concentrates on these vital issues because indigenous peoples, as guardians of 80% of the world’s biodiversity and keepers of millenia-old sustainable practices, possess irreplaceable knowledge for solving them. If left unaddressed, these challenges threaten not only the 300+ million indigenous peoples worldwide, but the spiritual, ecological, and cultural balance of our entire planet.

WHICH ONES ARE RELATIVELY NEW?

While indigenous nations have long understood the interconnectedness of all life, the UAN now addresses emerging challenges through ancient wisdom lenses, including Digital sovereignty and indigenous data rights – protecting traditional knowledge in the information age; Climate resilience through indigenous science – applying ancestral ecological wisdom to modern climate crises; Youth cultural continuity – ensuring intergenerational transfer of sacred knowledge; Gender balance restoration – reviving traditional complementary roles and sacred feminine wisdom; Biocultural diversity protection – safeguarding the inseparable link between indigenous cultures and ecosystems; Sacred sites and intellectual property – defending spiritual territories and traditional knowledge from exploitation.

Documents

The UAN publishes documents including records of meetings and resolutions that have been passed by a legislative body, such as the General Assembly, Security Council, or the Economic and Social Council, which often contain a work mandate for the United Ancient Indigenous Enlightened Nations’. Reports of the UAN Secretary-General assess the state of the Organization and announce new work initiatives.

KAILASA, a founding member of the UAN has emerged as a leading voice for indigenous rights and religious freedom at the international level, with the United Nations publishing 23 of its comprehensive reports addressing critical issues including indigenous persecution, cultural preservation, religious discrimination, and violations of sacred traditions. These reports have provided vital documentation of challenges facing indigenous communities worldwide, contributing substantive evidence and traditional perspectives to global policy discussions. Through this sustained engagement with UN & UAN mechanisms, KAILASA demonstrates how indigenous nations can effectively utilize international platforms to advocate for their peoples’ rights, protect ancient wisdom traditions, and influence global consciousness on matters of spiritual sovereignty and cultural survival.
